Swasthani Brata Katha is a month long Hindu fasting festival devoted to Goddess Shree Swasthani. Every year on the full moon of Poush Shukla, Hindu devotees pray to Goddess Swasthani and God Madhav Narayan. Devotees fast and recite the holy book Swasthani Brata Katha everyday for a month. This ritual ends on the full moon day of Magh.
Every year, devotees visit the temple in Salinadi and take a holy bath before worshiping Lord Bishnu. Women do not use any cosmetic, walk barefoot and take food once a day during Brata.
